Walgging For Breast Cancer Awareness

Snooki's pregnant and announcing that she is having a boy. Me? Not a Snooki fan and I can't see her as a Mother.

At least she won't have much clothing to remove when she breast feeds.

That is totally not what I wanted to write about.

I did my first 10k. Yep. I was nervous. Rheesah waited for me at the finish line. Isn't she so cool! Love. Her! It was the Best. Run. Ever! There was one minor point in mile three when I was walgging...

I don't really jog, but it's way more than walking, so walgging is the only phrase I could think of that really describes it. Anyway...

There was one minor point in my walgging mile three that I was crossing a bridge. I looked forward knowing I was only half way into it, but there was a nagging decision at that very point.

Keep going another three long miles....

Or plunge to my death over this bridge.

Luckily I had just paid $100 for my running shoes and I wanted to get my moneys worth.

And they were pink. I didn't want to get them dirty.

And it was for Aunt Peg. If she could go through Chemo and sweaty fake strap on boobs in 110 degree Southern Utah heat, then surely I could finish this race.

At that thought, I didn't waver again.

The Best THING EVER about the 10k...
I found everyone took special pity on the chubby girl.

Like weird hold-my-hand-and-tell-me-that-I'm-pretty pity. I'd been training, and well, I mentioned the awesome pink shoes. Totally had the tunes going...I mean, I looked serious.

But then there was this guy...

35ish  55ish, fit, barely breaking a sweat.

He says to me around mile 1.8, "You could just walk. You burn as many calories as jogging and it's less impact on your knees."

Yep. That guy. I throw him a dirty look. I have enough 'you can't do it' voices in my head. I didn't want to hurt him, but it was definitely on the list.

Which reminds me. I need to take "Highway to Hell' and 'No Air' off my running walgging playlist.

My retort to the geriatric jogger was, "You say that to all the girls here?"

With a smile of course, because I don't want to be rude. "It's about self-fulfillment. You know, goals." Totally thinking about Aunt Peg. "Thanks for the advice though."

Another totally good thing...

I wasn't even that sore. Which was really funny because all my other family members that did race (love you skinny skanks!), couldn't move all day! Then they were even worse the next day.

Don't get me wrong! I felt it. C'mon! 6.4 miles of walgging, who wouldn't?! But it was more like a 'just had a longer work-out' sore.

So glad I did it, and I am totally doing it again.

Breast Cancer Awareness. I love all you fighters! Props!

Saving The World One Messy Face At A Time

My life is busy. I mean busy! Like super-duper-saving-the-world-one-messy-face-at-a-time-busy!  Here is a basic outline.

1.Mommy & Wifey!! The best blessing ever! Where would I be without them?

2.My calling. Another great blessing and I get to include my whole family in it.

2.The Morning Show! Another great blessing to be a part of. I am the Producer!! Can the show run without me? I. Think. Not!

3.School! My thought here is very similar to those on the titanic when they were experiencing the best Vaca ever, then they had the sudden horrific realization. Crap! We are gonna sink! That’s me. Wifey, Mommy, Morning Show Producer, then…Dun, Dun, Duuunnn!!! ALGEBRA. I’m pretty sure I can hear the actual Titanic string quartet playing solemnly every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00pm-6:00pm.  Depressing, I know.

4.My eBay store. I love it! I think it’s wonderful and a huge blessing to my family. I won’t go into details until copyrights are complete, other than to say I. Love. It!!

5. Rental Management has taken lots of time, a huge blessing to us, but I’m happy to say that that may be a ease soon.

**I do realize that I have two #2’s. I just don’t feel the need to go all the way back and correct it all. Which brings me to my favorite part of this message.

I. am. Not. Perfect.

With all this on my plate, I have a tendency to rough myself up be really hard on myself. With the way I talk to myself, I would never have me as a friend, and If I were married to myself, I would get a divorce! I really beat myself up about things! Not quite sure why I can be so understanding to others, yet verbally abuse myself over not getting the dishes done. I should be pleased with the fact that the dishes get more attention than the Algebra.

I mean really, my next thank you card Jimmy Fallon will be, “Dear Math. Grow up and solve your own problems!” I guess there is no thank you in that, but you get the idea.

So I learned this week and especially today, that there are many things I have a testimony about. Family, my faith, Jesus Christ, doing as much good as you can…etc. I was surprised by the thought that occurred to me was, with everything you have a testimony about, have a testimony of yourself too. Believe in yourself and have faith in you. We Mom's are great! We need to stop beating ourselves up and treating ourselves better!

That's my thought today!
Cheers! I'm out!
Morning Show Next!
Pro-ducerrrr!!!

Afterthought- I'd go back and correct the typo's, but that would be being too hard on myself... :-)

...Wait! I Think I Have A Blog!

That's right! I'm a blogger. It's not like I forgot, I mean how could I? It's more like that thing you love to do, when you have time to do it...To think I haven't blogged for silly reasons. Like Education and What I need to thaw for dinner.

Oh. That reminds me...*meat in sink*

Savannah is 10 and in her second year of orchestra. It's really cool when your kids become more like your friends. Her, Rheesah, and myself all went away for a weekend and we had tons of fun! She rocks.

Rheesah is just like me. She instigates, cracks jokes, and is a spitting image of what I looked like as a kid.
You know how your parents say, "I hope you someday have a kid just like you!" Well here she is! She keeps us all laughing. I was wrong about the sense of humor thing, hers outweighs any of ours by far!

Kaylah is in Kindergarten and everyday asks, "Do I have school tomorrow?" Yep.

Friday's are rough. And I haven't had the heart to tell her about Christmas Vaca yet. Cross that bridge when we come to it.

She's a funny girl.

THE BOY!! I love him so much. I can totally say he is my favorite boy right?

How could anyone not love this face!

Well, when he's drinking his own bathwater, it is a little easier not to love this face, but still! What a cutie-pie!

I took him to his check up for the normal routine. The doc takes one look at him and says, "What a good looking four year old!"

I say..."He just turned two."

But the clothing he wears sides with the Doc.

I guess there is something to that bath water...

This is my baby. My used to be baby. My, 'she's getting older and now she isn't really a baby' baby.

My English Professor would tear that last sentence apart.

Sorry Mr. Punctuation, your in my world now. Bristol University. It's a household name.
Seriously. Google it!

Tangent. Sorry.

Lylah is so smart! Even at 14 months (I think) this girl can work it! She beats up her older brother too, which I think is funny. But only because he beats her up too. It's always a fight between them. I can't wait till they get over that.

Wait...They will get over that, right?

Jere told all the kids that they could stay up into the new year. Here is our countdown. Be prepared to throw confetti and kiss someone :-)

10:12 pm

11:15 pm

Silly Dog. With their sense of smell, that can't be good.
Happy New Year!
Here's to a great 2011!
Cheers!

Big Mama Must Blog!!!

Oh My! Oh My! Oh My! It's been so long HP PC. I know you missed my chunky fingers jabbing you while staring endlessly into your big fat......screen. Okay, c'mon people, whadd'ya think I was gonna say?

Big Mama has been AWOL. However, I had a talk with her today and she informed me that while she is still plenty busy with tons and tons of college, tons and tons and more tons of kids, and quadruple tons of motherly-wifey house duties that she is still here and making a fool of herself on a daily basis. C'mon Peeps! I don't need luscious HP PC for that!

Here are some updates of what has been going on over that last...how long has it been?

We has a luscious Halloween which is very surprising despite my disgust of the holiday. Why do we need witches, ghosts, vampires, and goblins to convince Okay, too much to tell you, so I won't get started on Cavity-O-ween!

Something cute though were my kiddo's! You see, becuase of my love for the holiday, I never, and I mean NEVER buy my kids Cavityoween  costumes. Because who want's to pay $20 per costume for five kids and phlimsy material that is just going to tear before the next day!! I mean Really Okay, Tangent again. This is hard.

I will try to keep it simple. Savannah and Rheesah wanted to be housemaids. I am all for any costume...
-Uh-humm!-
...that can be rounded up in the house. Housemaids were simple! That is what I am everyday!

Grabbed some aprons, a couple garbage bags, some material for scarfy-hat-thingy's and Waall-llaaah!!! Housemaids. Or as I liked to call them, Cinder-Anna and Rheesah-Ella. Perfect! I especially like the toilet bowl brush as an added accessory! Don't worry though, It is my baseboard brush, I don't clean toilets here.

Hahaha! Just kidding!

No. Seriously. I don't.

Moving On!

Kaylah's personality is bigger than ever!! Holey Moley she is always coming up with something crazy! This picture for example, if pictures could talk, would say 'Hey Bi-IIG Mama! Take a picture now!' Which I did. And this is what I got. Funny girl. She was a princess for Halloween. I know I do princesses every year. YES. EVERY. YEAR. Why? You may ask?? Well, because Christmas dresses come out at Halloween time, are usually cheaper than the costumes and make for an excellent princess dress.

Take That! Halloween!

I must admit, this year she was a little harder to convince Kaylah on a costume.

"I gonna be No White!"

Snow White Paper costumes are $20. It'll cover from the neck to the top of the knees, no warmth, modesty, or thickness. I seriously doubt Snow White walks around Disney Land that way. But whatever!

"Kaylah, Snow White told me that she feels kinda sick and won't be able to go trick or treating this year." My feeble attempt. "She said she is sleeping and will wake up closer to Christmas." By then I am sure to have made her a Snow White Costume that she can wear all year long. That is, until it's Halloween time again.

"Well ake her up!"

"What about this dress??" I say as I hold up a very pretty one.

"No! It's not a Ig Girl Dwess!!"

"Oh, Yes it is! Look I will read the tag! [tag reads] 'Handmade Cinderella Dress Size Big Girl!' Cinderella wants you to have it! We can even get you a crown!"

"Yaaay!! A cwoan!" And off she goes to find the toy crowns.

Victory in an $18 toddler dress with a lying Tag! I just might roast in Princess Dress Hell. *Sigh*

Kehlton is growing like a weed. He is super funny, loves to smile, and I had one heck of a scare where I almost lost him. But that is a story for another day. I sure thank my lucky stars that he is still here! What I want to point out is the weird stance that you see behind him. It is Savannah and Rheesah in a permanent hug. I will get to that in a minute.

In other news, Sweet Lylah Rose is 4 months now and quite a chunk. The doc was worried that she wasn't putting on weight. I reminded him who her mother was. And that's all I have to say about that.
Lylah is so full of personality that sometimes I think she's gonna burst!
She sleeps good, rolls to her side, and despite the drool and constant fist chomping, I have yet to see a tooth. She loves to be held all the time and hates it when older brother sits on her. Yep, it's happened once or twice. Note to Mommy, don't run the sewing machine out of Lylah and Kehlton eye contact.

Okay, Have you ever just hit your wits end? Do you run totally out of patience? Do your children's fighting and antics make you reach a point of losing your temper? Do I totally sound like an infomercial?

Well let me introduce you to the Time Out Hug.  I could explain it to you, but instead, I will do a brief, but actual conversation that occurred in my home resulting in, and because of the time out hug.

"Rheesah hates me! Mom! You hate me Rheesah! Your always so mean to me! You won't let me use your brush!"

Yelling in my house over a hair brush. I roll my eyes. I decide to wait to intervene knowing that eventually they will come crying on my shoulder. I don't know that I wear big enough shoulder pads to comfort someone with pain over a hairbrush. But we'll see.

"Savannah." Rheesah says calmly. "I don't hate you. I just hate you using my brush. But I love my brush." I know as she is saying this she is using it right in front of Savannah. I am not in the same room, but there comes a time when you know your kids well enough it's like x-ray vision through the drywall.

"Mom!" Savannah cries again. "Rheesah is brushing her hair right in front of me and getting hair on our bed!" See, I told you she was. "Rheesah, your hair is gross! I am telling Mom!"

"I wasn't doing anything Savannah! Just brushing my hair." Rheesah starts to defend herself know that sister is going to Big Mama.

"Mom!..." Yep there is Savannah recounting the entire already heard story. I roll my eyes again.

They continue at each other for the good length of the day. Finally I have had enough. No amount of gentle counsel will help them to love one another. I tried everything I could think of. I even sang primary songs. However my voice is so bad I was once asked not to return to the Ward Choir in Church. True Story.

"Okay! Time Out Hug! Right Now!!"

"No Mom! I hate the time out hug!" and "Please Mom! We'll get along, don't make us get in the time out hug!"

Nope. "Feet to Feet! Face to Face! Put your arms around each other and Hug each other until you mean it!"

If I were my Mom. I would hate myself.

The thought of doing the time out hug with my sister, I think I would rather have a root canal.

"Do it now or I revoke every privilege, and tell Santa that we moved!"

So they do it. Not because they want to, or because I told them, but because surely Santa would need to know where they live. They haven't caught on to the Santa bluff yet.

This is the first attempted picture of the time out hug, but they jumped apart, because they did not want their picture taken.
"Mom! Don't take my picture! I hate it when you take my picture! Your going to put it on the blog and I am going to be so mad!"

Yep. Pretty Much.

"Get back into the time out hug, and if I want to take pictures of my kids to preserve memories, (and laugh my butt off) then I will. There will come a time I long for fighting kids in my house, so you can't stop me from remembering the special things." Like screaming, fighting, and time out hugs.

This next picture is where they are still miserable. Savannah is crying and rubbing her face. Rheesah is pretty unhappy too.

I am on the couch next to them laughing my butt off. Literally.

"When can we stop, Mom!"

"When your happy and you love each other again. It's totally up to you as to when that happens. Otherwise, hug away!"

Here, they are still looking miserable. Plus the added complaints of 'my feet hurt', 'I have to pee' and someone complaining about someones breath. But I can't remember who was the victim and who was the assailant.

My answer is pretty much the same. "Can't help the breath, and I give you total permission to pee your pants!"

"You'd better not pee on me!!" another wailing dramatic cry of such misery.

After awhile, not a long while, but awhile, they start giggling and smiling. They don't yell at me for taking pictures or laughing at them.

Aha! A total win for the mother! Yes! Yes! Yes! See the smiles? Yeah, they might be totally fake (Rheesah, I can see right through it!) but at least they got along after that!

What else can I tell you?? College is still good. It's finals time and I am really excited about the semester being over! There is a totally funny incident about 40 cupcakes with whip cream, pudding, and coconut that was needed for a *canceled* class. Yeah, it will be a delicious memory Monday soon. I will even put the recipe with it. Yummy!

That is, if I ever blog again.

I miss you my blog friends, I am still reading your blogs too, next time I will actually comment.

*hugs*

Family Friday

This is my favorite post to do. The family one. Cuz I am a family girl.

I can't help to love this cute little man. He is starting to lose the baby look. Kinda makes me sad. Like I think I need another baby. He runs me everywhere! From the dishwasher, to the silverware, then to the toilets. Lets just say we have a 'closed door' policy in this house. He likes to splash.

I say to him, "Maaa-Ma!" and he'll say back, "Daaa-Da!"

And that is why I think it is okay to call 'Daaa-Da' Mr. Big Mama on the Blog. Even though he hates it when I call him that.

I will hear the wrath of Mr Big Mama very soon. Hey, Mr. Big Mama, is something wrong? Oh...I am so sorry Mr Big Mama!

I am gonna be such big trouble!

If you find that my posts suddenly stop. Be worried and suspect Mr. Big Mama.

My sweet Lylah Rose! She is three months old and a very happy girl. She is getting fed well and is starting to really fill out. That's my girl. See the rolls? The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

She sleeps through the night, smiles lots and lots, and makes me feel like she loves me more than anyone else. I think it's cuz I recognize gas from hunger. But at any rate, I soak her up! Isn't she delicious??

Speaking of Delicious, I heard a Dude use that term recently. Isn't that weird for a guy to say, 'Delicious'?

Moving On...

The top two, or older two helped me tie a quilt for Lylah Rose. They thought it was awesome.  I did too. I want them to know how to do this stuff.

Sew. Cook. Clean. Run the sweat shop. Yep. Slaves. I can't wait until they can drive heavy machinery.

Ha! Just kidding.

Or am I?

Family Friday & Mr Big Mama

I don't blog about Bristol (my hubby) very much. But he is way cool and we have awesome conversations. They go somewhat like this...

"Are ya hungry Bristol?" I took one of his favorite dishes to his work. It makes him feel good, and I look like a trophy wife amongst all the coworkers when they get totally jealous of the food.

"Yeah." is all he says, but he smiles from ear to ear looking at the food. "Starved." he's a man of many words.
He goes to reach for it, and I back away in a taunting manner. "Say I am a trophy wife." I demand.
He grins like I am telling a joke. All his coworkers are giving him the eye. There wondering if he is gonna say it.

"Ha, Ha, ha. Come on lets go out, I will walk you to the van." Which he always does when I go to work to see him. I still am carrying the Marinated Chicken Burrito with home made pico, mexicana sour cream, and yummy black beans. But the truth of the matter, he wants me out of there fast! There is no way he wants to live this down by the co-men-workers.

We step outside the door and he reaches for the food again. "No." I say. "Tell me I am a Trophy Wife!"  This time, I give him the cold death stare. He knows I am serious.

"Seriously? Your gonna make me say it? Besides the laundry is not done!"

"Would it kill you to say it? And you have overworked my uterus with five kids! The laundry is never done!"

"OKAY!" he is starting to cave eyeing the food grasped in my cold clammy fingers. "You are!"

"I are what...?" I am sticking my ear out towards him now to repeat it.

"Your a Trophy Wife, Okay!"

"Sheesh, Bristol! I totally know I am trophy wife, you don't have to tell me ever second of the day!" I hand him his food, quick kiss, and he rolls his eyes and heads back inside.

One day, when were getting ready for bed I am telling him about a funny story that happened with the kids.
I tell him that I am thinking of blogging about it. I always get his permission first.
"I figured you would." he says.
I have a question to ask him, but I am waiting for the right moment. Its always important to read him first. Maybe warm him up to an idea I have. I wait awhile, then go in for the kill.

"Can I refer to you as Mr. Big Mama on the Blog?"

He looks at me as if I just took away every bit of man hood he'd ever had. "Absolutely Not!" Not just the words, but the look he had told me I'd better not.

"Uhhh...Okay...." I stammer.

"You already have haven't you!" he demands.

He is serious! Abort! Abort mission now! I am quickly looking for a way out.

"No! No! I haven't I swear!"
Note to self. Edit and Delete.

"Hey guess what Bristol! I got a ton of home work done today, the kids are happy, the house is clean, and there is like tons of comments from the blog I need to respond to.

"Your excited about comments?" he asks. He doesn't get it. He will never understand. I totally get that about him.

"Yeah, I know here at home, hardly anyone knows me as Big Mama, but it Big Mama world, I.Am. Hot.!" which isn't really true, just a way to try to impress him.

"Really?" he doesn't believe me.

"Heck ya! Break you off a piece of this!" I say so confidently.

I bust up laughing and he rolls his eyes and laughs too. Not becuase what I said was funny, but because of the fact that I am laughing at myself being funny. He gets that I laugh at my own jokes. Appearantly though, that is funnier than my actual jokes.

Anyway, Mr Big Mama Bristol is a good man, and I love him for laughing anyway!

Family Fun Friday

I honestly don't know what to put on this weeks edition. Everything is the same. I did paint my nails and clean out the van. But I don't think pictures are necessary for those things...

Here are some random questions about us.

1. Did you have a pen pal when you were little (or now)?  Where were/are they from?
No pen pals. But I did have a sweet phone-pal after my trip to Washington D.C. She was deaf though. We had to use the TDD (telephone communication for the deaf) One conversation took forever!!

2. If you could do a different job for one day, what would it be?
Job? No, No, No, no. I'd be a slacker that still lived with my parents. I'd watch TV all day have Zero responsibility.

3. Do you remember your biggest fear from when you were little?
I don't remember my biggest fear. Although I used to tell my sister all the time that her imaginary friend doesn't like to play with her. I am not sure how these two are related. But it is what i thought of when I read the question.

4. What do you think is a waste of time? Why?
-Cursive Writing. Why did we learn that again???

-Oh my gosh! I am gonna say it! Facebook!!! Total waste of time! Why is it I go there every day!!!

-Folding a fitted sheet is a total waste of time!

-I think the snooze button is a waste of time because 10 minutes more of sleep isn't gonna make your day any more awake or tiring than it would be anyway.

5. What is the oldest item you have in your closet?

My Bikini.

Okay just kidding.

No, not really. Its true.

But it doesn't have polka dots. Thank goodness for that!

Big Mama in a Polka Dot bikini!!

Sheesh! Don't wanna scare anyone away with the polka dots.

Seriously.

Family Fun Friday

Funny Conversations
I was sitting with a sweet girl that we were babysitting for the State of Utah. Meaning, she was a foster girl. Meaning, behave Bristol Family!
Rheesah, innocent Rheesah. She walks up to us as we are doing some Homework.

"Mom, I saw some pictures out of your Nursing [homework] book!"

"Yeah..." I respond.

"It was a butt!" She blurts. I choke. Sweet little girl raised her eyebrows, covers her mouth and giggles. I turn red.

"It was gross, they were gettin a shot!"

"Rheesah, stop." I warn. "And he was getting his temperature taken. You know like I do the little babies when they have a fever. It is part of medicine. It's even happened to you!" I warn her again and tell her to go down stairs.

"It was gross!" She says again.

"Rheesah! Go Downstairs!" My voice is raising.

"It was all hairy!"

"RHEESAH!!!"

She runs. I am red. I want to die. I just know there will be a caseworker calling me on Monday.

Dinner Delights
I can't be too ruffled at her. She has MAD cooking skills! She made her first dinner for the family, the first meaning, no help from Mom.

It! Was! Yummy!

Another Funny Conversation
"Mom!" Kaylah shouts.

"Yes Mae."

"I a Gurrl!!"

"Yes Kaylah, your a girl." I try really hard to emphasize the right pronunciation. Even though it doesn't matter.

"You a gurrl! Daddy a boy!"

She is in the Preschool-becoming-aware-of-her-gender phase.

This is great and all, but we repeat this conversation, a million times a day.

"Yes, Mae. Your a girl. Daddy is a boy. Kehlton is a boy. Mommy is a girl..."

"Herka-ees is a boy!!!"

"Yes, Mae."

She loves to feed little Lylah. This is simply adorable!

Peace Out!

Isn't she adorable??
She is playing the Cello in Orchestra. I would say she is the most talented one! Not every one can play the f# like she can! I just know she will be playing her way into a music scholarship!  No pressure Nanny! Well, maybe a little. Poor kid. We take her to class at 7:30 in the morning! That. Is. Early! But, its all in the name of a good musical education.

I have been awarded. I got a blog award again. Which is surprising. I never believe anyone is reading all this crap! Except you Mom. Thanks! But they love me, they really love me!
I got this from Cheapskate4Life
The rule is to pay it forward, so once it is received, Pass it along to a few new found blogs that you love.
In no particular order, here are my picks....
Da! Da! Duuunnnnn...!

1.You Craft Me Up because I think she has great creative ideas and it's things that I would actually use or do. Not just silly stuff that I would throw in the closet the next day. I like it!
2.Kimi because I think her blog is funny, and she cracks me up and I could go on, and on, and on...She has been there for me since day one of blog world, and well, I have somewhat of a blogging bond with her. Plus she lives close. So we can hang out and stuff.
3. 31 DIY. She has a List of 31 Goal DIY projects that are awesome. Like really good quality projects that anyone could do. I think its way cool.

I think that sums up this weeks edition of Family Friday! Stay tuned for next week when I am even more sleep deprived! At lease I am having fun being this tired!
xoxoxo

Family Friday

Whew What a Week! Do you ever feel like your running around in circles all day long??

Well, I do, and now I have proof.
Ahh, he looks so cute and sweet, doesn't he!

Well, we gets wound up. Not a matter of if or when. He. Gets. Pretty soon, this happens.

It turns into this.

Eventually, when I don't think I will have another sane moment, this happens.

Then I get to do this and I feel so much better!

Over and Over and Over again!

Little Miss Lylah Rose is two (and a half) months now. She is strong and healthy! It feels really good to say that! She looks so different from her other pictures, because she is HAPPY! It's because she finally got it through my head that she can't have diary. Meaning. I. Can't. Have. Dairy. But look at her face! It's worth it!

I keep getting these STUPID (yes, I will allow some negativity here...STUPID!!!) Credit Card offers in the mail.

Do you think they will get my message?
Capitol One! Whats Not in Your Wallet!!!
bahahahahh!!!!

School is great! I totally bombed a couple tests right off the bat! Then, I got 92% on one. Like a little test repreive! I used to hate (and I still do!) that whole Austin Powers hip thrust that he had the whole world doing when his movie's were all the rage, but after that test, I wanted to do that so bad! Its okay, Peeps! I resisted the urge...
YES! YES! YES! YES!

So, The COLLEGE SOAP OPERA!! Remember Hair Flipping Girl? Ahhh...The story continues.
DUNN! DUNNN! DUUNNNNNN!!

Well, I found out that Flexing boy, isn't so bad. I mean, yeah he flexes the things, but he just a BOY! Well, boys love the attention!

So, I was actually having a conversation with hair flipping boy cuz he said that he builds sand castles out at Sand Hollow. Like Real Ones. Not the small plastic bucket and shovel that I do that my kids do. You know the ones you get at the Dollar store. These are real big ones! So I was telling him I would love to take my kids out to do that!

"Oh, I'll teach your kids, that would be fun." Wow, flexing boy is really nice!

"That would be really cool! I could have my husband load up the BBQ and we could do a whole evening thing of it!" I look hair towards hair flipping girl with a 'I just scored an evening with your man, and it's not even a date!' look.

"Yeah." he says. "Let me know when, I could get a date and take someone out with me."

"What are you guys talking about?" Batting eyes, Hair Flip. Shoulder shrug. Like as if she wasn't listening the whole time!!!

"Were gonna go to the lake and make sand castles with the whole crew." I say.

"Oh, how fun! I wanna go!"

Silence. Bucket. Gag. Hurl. I don't want her flipping her hair into my sand castle!

In all fairness, I am starting to feel quite caddy. So this will be the last installment of Hair Flipping Girl. I know. Sad. But I have had so many people ask, that I had to do one more installment. Say Goodbye everyone!!

More to come...when I get the pics!!

Family Fun Friday

Ahhh...the Bristol Events of the week.

Children's SEP's

I am sitting with Rheesah at her parent/teacher conference. At the end of the meeting, her teacher asks her if there is anything she would like to tell her, or need her help on.

"Kyle(name changed) pokes me when were on the carpet, and I don't like it."
"Okay, Rheesah, remind me and I will move you away."
"Maybe he just thinks your cute." I reply with the normal Mommy reply.
Rheesah, defiantly replies, "Well, Daddy's Boss Mike (name changed) thinks your cute!"

This is where you hear a loud THUD! My head hitting the table in embarrassment with Rheesah's teacher thinking I am Hookin' it with her Daddy's Boss. Good Times.

I try to cover it with 'Rheeash, that is so inappropriate....' but the damage had been done.

Good News

I have a new dishwasher. I love it and it makes me happy! Here is why...
Every time I look at it, it makes me smile
Its very mobile
It has a habit of actually throwing the clean dishes out onto the floor...true story.
It has a great sleep mode
Downside, it has a problem taking care of its own waste, but I look forward to the next six months of correcting that...

More News

I are going to skool to have me edumacation!! Yeeee--haaaaaw!!

(I'd follow that with Ride'em Coowboy!! But, that would be weird.)

I feel so old. First Week in Class, I over hear this conversation between 21 year old thinks she is hot girl that flips her hair too much and college boy that just likes the attention. They, of course, sit right beside me.

"Do you want to be my partner?" hair flipping girl asks. We had to buddy up for a class thing.
"Sure." College boy says and flexes his muscles.
---Okay, I didn't visually see him flex, but I know he did it.
Hair Flip. Cheesy Giggle. "Okay."
"Are you from here?" College boys thinks his muscles are getting bigger by the second.
"No. But my parents bought a house here so I live off campus in this really big house and no furniture. I don't even have any roommates. Just a bed with no bed frame. It's really lonely."
Another Hair Flip, with a smile form 21 year old girl that thinks she is hot.

This is where I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

I could see right through hair flipping girls intentions. I totally knew she had it for him. I was kinda curious to see how she would be different this week. When I arrive, I decide to go into the bathroom first, and guess who is lip-glossing herself in the mirror?? You guessed it, hair flipping girl. But instead of the sweat pants, stringy hair, and no make-up hair flipping girl from the previous week, I see curled hair, full make-up, and pretty little black dress hair flipping girl.

I roll my eyes with a secret satisfaction of hitting the nail right on the head. We chicks are so predictable, I totally knew she had it for him. And she did look really pretty.

Sitting in class 10 minutes later...

"You look nice today. Are you going somewhere special?" Boy asks.
"Oh, no. Hair was stringy, so I thought I'd curl it, and this is kind of an old dress. But that is so sweet of you to notice. You made my day!" Curled Hair flip and another giggle.

Get. Me. A. Bucket. Where we all this way at this age? Which I add, was not long ago!

The Weekly Indulgence

I had to get white shoes for my nursing class. Then I realized that I am trying to train for a 5K. Then I realized even more that Jeremy is so supportive of my new edumacation, and he deserves shoes too. The he realized that he want's to run a 5K with me. So, in the end, we both realized together that we needed a pair of work/nursing shoes and a pair of running shoes. So we went to Jared's. Not the diamond's Jared's. The shoe Jared's.

Since my overworked Uterus got me a fat grant that pays for anything that gets me to school, I can say Thank-you Mr Obama for the shoes!

I just found out that Spell Checker DOES NOT pick up Obama.

That. Is. Funny.

It does, however pick up Obadiah, Obadias, Bamako, and Alabama.

My Aunt Peg got some Sketchers Shape Ups too, but she said they make her butt hurt. We'll see.

I am curious to check out what is going on with Hair flipping girl, and Flexing boy. It's like my Real Life Soap Opera.

Except I don't have to be immoral with the whole town, or die and come back to life like 20 times. I like it!

Memory Monday-Old Pictures

I found an old picture CD of tons of pictures I had forgotten all about!!! I have to put them on for Memory Monday this week, they need to go to the blog book.
Enjoy!

Halloween 2004. Savannah was three and she had to be what she called a 'Hornicorn'. Super funny. We tease her about it every Halloween.

Theses Stinkers were forever pulling everything out of my drawers and dishwashes just to get in it! I had a fear they would lock themselves into something dangerous! I forgot all about this.

Rheesah has always had a gift with animals, so this pic is no surprise. I have seen birds land right at her feet. It is really endearing. Can't say that about the scruffy dog though...

This totally makes me cringe!! Ewwww! Gross! What is even more disgusting is that Jeremy left her there to go get the camera!! YUCK! I do remember this, we always had to make sure bathrooms were CLOSED!! She liked to play in any water, tub or toilet!

Rheesah again hiding in the dish cupboard. She is one here.

Hahahahaha!!! I don't think I have anything to say here...I mean I do....but...No!

Kaylah at about two weeks old. I had just fought off a major after birth infection that I thought I was going to die from. No exaggeration. Luckily we both lived!

Savannah & Rheesah holding newborn Kaylah. They are all so tiny!

Something I found interesting. Here are three of my kids at one year old. Even I have a hard time telling who is who...
