Saving The World One Messy Face At A Time

My life is busy. I mean busy! Like super-duper-saving-the-world-one-messy-face-at-a-time-busy!  Here is a basic outline.

1.Mommy & Wifey!! The best blessing ever! Where would I be without them?

2.My calling. Another great blessing and I get to include my whole family in it.

2.The Morning Show! Another great blessing to be a part of. I am the Producer!! Can the show run without me? I. Think. Not!

3.School! My thought here is very similar to those on the titanic when they were experiencing the best Vaca ever, then they had the sudden horrific realization. Crap! We are gonna sink! That’s me. Wifey, Mommy, Morning Show Producer, then…Dun, Dun, Duuunnn!!! ALGEBRA. I’m pretty sure I can hear the actual Titanic string quartet playing solemnly every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00pm-6:00pm.  Depressing, I know.

4.My eBay store. I love it! I think it’s wonderful and a huge blessing to my family. I won’t go into details until copyrights are complete, other than to say I. Love. It!!

5. Rental Management has taken lots of time, a huge blessing to us, but I’m happy to say that that may be a ease soon.

**I do realize that I have two #2’s. I just don’t feel the need to go all the way back and correct it all. Which brings me to my favorite part of this message.

I. am. Not. Perfect.

With all this on my plate, I have a tendency to rough myself up be really hard on myself. With the way I talk to myself, I would never have me as a friend, and If I were married to myself, I would get a divorce! I really beat myself up about things! Not quite sure why I can be so understanding to others, yet verbally abuse myself over not getting the dishes done. I should be pleased with the fact that the dishes get more attention than the Algebra.

I mean really, my next thank you card Jimmy Fallon will be, “Dear Math. Grow up and solve your own problems!” I guess there is no thank you in that, but you get the idea.

So I learned this week and especially today, that there are many things I have a testimony about. Family, my faith, Jesus Christ, doing as much good as you can…etc. I was surprised by the thought that occurred to me was, with everything you have a testimony about, have a testimony of yourself too. Believe in yourself and have faith in you. We Mom's are great! We need to stop beating ourselves up and treating ourselves better!

That's my thought today!
Cheers! I'm out!
Morning Show Next!
Pro-ducerrrr!!!

Afterthought- I'd go back and correct the typo's, but that would be being too hard on myself... :-)

Spiritual Sunday - Motherhood

There are so many things I was not prepared for in Motherhood.
I was not able to go to church today because of fevers and achy kids. We all know what that is like. I have not been able to take time to read my scriptures, and when I do, it's interrupted. Same with Prayer, reading other church material, or simply taking a deep breath at the view outside my window.
Then in a small moment, I was able to see this video off a blog of a new friend. It touched my heart. I say kuddo's to all you Mommies out there.

Spiritual Sunday

\

Today was a nice Sunday. There is just a peace that comes to me when I go to church. Thankfully the children were quiet and I got to listen to a few speakers and a few talks.
One reminder I was given was to not judge. We all judge, and I am one of the worst. I need to remember the goodness that comes when you look at someone in a nonjudgmental state of mind. I really do need to be better so I am putting that into focus this week. I think I will make it to Monday at about noon, but this is where I hope divine intervention comes into play.
Wish me luck!

Spiritual Sunday...I Don't Know

I really tried to learn something today. It was hard. I don't know if maybe I am just not open, but I couldn't concentrate at church.

Funny though, in the Young Woman's lesson, we got off subject and talked about how your really hungry on fast Sunday and the prayer to the food is really short cuz y'all just want to eat. When my hubby asks me to say these prayers, I, just to be me, say the longest prayer I can think of! I get all sorts of grateful for the birds, and the trees, and the sun, and anything else that makes the prayer go way long just to keep everyone starving with the food right in front of them. You might want to stand away from kicking distance when you try this.

We had an evening get together (or a fireside) and it was nice too. We talked about cleanliness in the home and it made me want to come home and clean my house. I really enjoyed that.

So what did I learn? I have no idea. But maybe Sunday's can be less of what you learn, and more how it makes you feel.

Spiritual Sunday-Easter Edition

This weekend was conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. If you would like to know more about my faith, you can click here.

Hard times are getting harder, and I really desired to get the most out of conference. Lets just face it, being a mom is just hard! I have been searching the Scriptures and the Ensign to find comforting messages about Motherhood. Am I making a difference? I am waisting my life?? Etc. I know that the answeres to these Q's were both no, but sometimes doubt comes in and very important things become hazy sometimes. I was so grateful for this weekends messages that testified to me that Motherhood is essential and wonderful and the best thing ever!
So my Spiritual Sunday message is the testimony that was born to me of the greatness of motherhood. I have a great mom, she had a great mom, hopefully I can be a great mom to my kids and teach them the motherhood traditions to pass to their children as well.
And of course, hearing conference on Easter Weekend was certainly special. Knowing that Jesus Christ is Risen and has prepared the way for us to live again is a blessing beyound words or description.

Spiritual Sunday-Roaming The Halls

There are some Sundays that I wonder to myself, "Why did I even come to Church today??" Well today was one of them. Kehlton likes to either be really loud and laughing, or crying and tired. Either way he is too young for Nursery and too loud for me to sit in class to enjoy the lessons. Then Kaylah is still trying to get used to being a sunbeam in Primary. Even though she does well, she has a hard time sitting still and wants to roam the halls and join us in our classes which is impossible with Kehlton anyway. Ugh!
What I realized today, is that even if I am in the halls with overly happy/fussy babies, I am where I should be. I still made the sacrifice to let Heavenly Father know that we are dedicated to serving him by just being there.
Even roaming the halls for three hours on Sunday gives me added strength through the week that I would not had had I not been there. It was a big peace of mind knowing that at least we were where we should have been.
